Meet our Regional Fiber Alliance Partners

A Fibershed Initiative

Climate Beneficial™ Verified was established in 2016 by Fibershed, a non-profit organization that develops regional fiber systems that build ecosystem and community health from soil to soil.

Our verification program is designed to support farmers through holistic farm planning, technical assistance, and peer-to-peer farmer networking. We use on-farm soil testing, data collection, and farm visits to verify farming practices and outcomes across carbon, soil, water and biodiversity.

The Climate Beneficial Fiber Alliance works across key agricultural regions in the West, Midwest, Southeast, and Northeast. The Alliance has an established, well-coordinated, multiregional network of farmers, technical assistance providers, and supply-chain partners, demonstrating that this collaborative model works—and that it can scale.

The Alliance has collectively enrolled over 159,000 fiber-producing acres in the Climate Beneficial™ Verified program to-date, and drawn down 25,608 mg CO2e. This is the equivalent of 3,415 homes’ energy use for one year.

Market demand for sustainable fibers and responsibly produced materials has grown by 7 percent each year. We provide an unlock that matches material demand with verifiable supply.
